New residences in Paradise Valley boast impressive luxury “car bars.”
It’s just the finishing touch every owner of a Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio dreams of. The new Village at Mountain Shadows in Paradise Valley sports a hydraulic lift that chariots automobiles in and out of a three-car basement space called, cleverly enough, the “car bar.”
And that’s just one of the knock-your-socks-off features for the $3,976,400 Cholla model, one of five floor plans offered at the luxury residential community, which opened for sales late last year on the site of the former Mountain Shadows Golf Resort. Designed as a wall-to-wall glass automobile and motorcycle showroom, there’s a real bar and wine display case down there too, so the homeowners can show off their prized collector vehicles while sipping craft cocktails and vino.
Add to the setup an eight-seat movie theater, an optional poker room and three two-story window wells for abundant natural light, and it’s clear this is no place for everyday parking oil drips.
“The goal was to present this space in a very creative, unique and memorable way,” said Cullum Homes CEO Rod Cullum, whose Scottsdale firm developed the community in collaboration with Scottsdale architectural firm Candelaria Design Associates, Anita Lang of IMI Design and Robert Moric of bulthaup Scottsdale.
Spanning up to 6,981 square-feet of living space, depending on its layout options, the Cholla is easily customized, with the car bar space changeable into a game room, wine cellar, children’s play area, additional bedrooms, home gym or extra storage.
Luxury abounds for recreational types above-ground as well, with a fountain-fed negative-edge spa included, plus a full outdoor kitchen and dining area fancied up with a Wood Stone professional pizza oven and fireplace.
And should you use the car bar space for living, it also includes a standard two-car garage that’s set right next to the driveway. From $2.3 million, 5600 E.
