Crystal Frasier set up tables on the lawn at Arlington Hall at Lee Park and worked with soft hues of blush pink, champagne, ivory and gold with fresh green accents. Food Glorious Food served up brunchworthy items such as eggs Benedict, chicken and waffle bites, pint-size fruit and yogurt parfaits, and copious amounts of mimosas and bloody Marys.

Layered Bake Shop made a beautiful crepe cake for the occasion. To complement their midday affair, Meagan chose a Marie Antoinette-inspired color palette and guests received jars of pancake, scone or waffle mix as adorable favors.

THE COUPLE
Though Meagan Dyer and Jake Self both attended the University of Texas at Austin at the same time, they never met until post-graduation at a party hosted by a mutual friend in December 2008. They remained friends for the next two years. During her third year of law school, Meagan was attending the Red River Showdown football game at the State Fair when her new shoes left her feet too sore to walk. On her way to the exit, she ran into Jake, who offered up his own footwear, encouraging her to stay. “We ended up in a Walgreens outside the Fair, where Jake bought me a pair of flip-flops,” Meagan says with a laugh. “By then, I had fallen head over heels for the man who had given me the shoes off his feet.”

THE DETAILS
Both brunch lovers, the couple followed suit with their wedding theme. Since the ceremony started at 11am, guests enjoyed a lunchtime cocktail hour followed by the reception, which featured brunchworthy items by Food Glorious Food.

THE HONEYMOON
After a day of rest, the couple jetted off to Costa Rica for a week of zip lining, hiking and rafting adventures, as well as deep-sea fishing. They spent the first half of their stay at the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo and the second half at Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens—their room featured a view of the still-active Arenal Volcano!
