Although their relationship began long distance—the groom is a professional hockey player for Austria’s Innsbruck Sharks—it didn’t take long for Breanne Felty and Austin Smith to become inseparable after being set up by a mutual friend. Breanne got the surprise of her life when Austin proposed on top of the Hohensalzburg Castle in Salzburg, Austria.
Dressed in a Justin Alexander gown with an ivory lace cathedral veil, Breanne stunned as she walked down the aisle. After the newlyweds said “I do,” family and friends gathered to toast to the bride and groom at an ethereal reception bedecked in ivory peonies, hydrangeas and pale-peach Juliet English garden roses accented by silver dollar eucalyptus and wisteria, all surrounded by votive candles for a soft, romantic glow.
WHAT WE LEARNED
“[Don’t] shop around with too many vendors or dwell too long when making decisions. Brides should check out a few options, go with their gut, make a decisionand then move on,” Breanne cautions. “There is a lot to do and thinking about things too long will make you go crazy!”
Following their wedding, Breanne and Austin traveled to San Francisco and Napa for several days before heading to their final destination of Saint Thomas.
